MN: Road Trip!

Are ya Ready?

And at the end of the day, your feet should be dirty, your hair messy, and your eyes sparkling.

Day One:

Meet-up in Minneapolis where we will pack up our van to head out. Head scarves tightened down. We will take a stop in the lovely town of Prescott, Wisconsin for a good ol' home cooked breakfast before heading down to Lake City, MN. We are crossing state lines cause this a road trip! Will get ready to sail away a few hours on Lake Pepin learning new nautical skills. Lunch will be taken in Lake City and then will decide if a glass of wine at a local winery or a hike in the State Park suits our taste. We'll loop back over to Wisconsin to a cozy lakeshore accommodation to chill and sit around a fire pit overlooking the waters.

Day Two:

No need to rush out of this fab place. Continental breakfast and coffee ready when you are. We will head on over to Frontenac State Park for a fabulous bluff walk followed by another lunch in a quaint little cafe. Dessert will be whatever berries you can pick at a local berry farm. There are many little towns around the lake and we plan to stop at a few to see what rural life is all about. A winery stop can be arranged en route. The days end will be dinner with hopefully some live music in a nearby pub. There's always the fire pit to sit by in the evening to round off your day.

Day Three:

Time to move from Lake Pepin and head towards Laneboro, MN. If there is a farmers market en route, we'll take a quick peek. It's time to go true Minnesotan style and get on some water again, this time in kayaks. Our destination, the back waters of Perrot State Park. The town of Trempeauleau is too cute to pass up for a lunch stop and then it's onward to Lansboro for an afternoon of Amish lifestyle. The evening will be free to check out yet another quaint Minnesota town of Lansboro.

Day Four:

After breakfast, we are heading to the Root River before the crowds get there and float down on inner tubes. Never too old for good ol' fashion fun! After a lunch in Lansboro, we will jump on some bikes and take advantage of the beautiful bike routes nearby. Go as far or as near as you like. Return when you wish. The evening will be free to explore some more.

Day Five:

Well, we wont be driving over any cliffs today but it will be time to head back to "The Cities". If you haven't worn a scarf yet around your head, we hope by now you will be. Let it sail behind you and know that it wont be the last time if flies when you take your next adventure!

"I literally have never felt more alive than on this trip. It was like you were tapped into my subconscious and delivered a menu, tailor made."
