Day One, Saturday, Aug 31st:

Land in Dublin! Hopefully you'll book a red eye Friday night, sleep on the plane, and be ready to tromp around Dublin when you arrive Saturday morning, as this is the one day designated for the Fair City where the girls are so pretty...or stay on after to explore in more detail. We'll be there to meet you at the airport and make sure you get safely to our hotel in Dublin. The day can be yours alone or shared with other arriving WOTG travelers to visit places like Dublin Castle, Trinity College, the Temple Bar neighborhood, or the Guinness Storehouse. Evening meet and greet at the hotel. 

Day Two, Sunday, Sept 1st:

Our local Irish guide will greet us at our hotel this morning to chauffeur us around the Emerald Isle for the week. Our active adventures begin today with the options of hiking up Ireland's holiest mountain, Croagh Patrick, biking along Ireland's Great Western Greenway, or just hanging out in the city of Westport to do some shopping or a walking tour. A local B+B will surround us with warm Irish comfort when we decide to settle down for the evening. Meals: B,L

Day Three, Monday, Sept 2nd:

Rise and shine! We have a ferry to catch! Off we'll go to the biggest of the Aran Islands to hop on bicycles and pedal to an ancient stone fort and maybe snap some spectacular pictures off the edge of the island. Our ferry ride back will transport us to the quaint fishing village of Doolin where we can catch some traditional Irish music, grab a local meal, throw back a pint of the black stuff, and settle in for the evening. Day Four, Tuesday, Sept 3rd:

Today we will lace up our hiking shoes for a magnificent hike along one of the biggest attractions in Ireland, the Cliffs of Moher. Weather permitting, we'll spend the morning on a 3-4 hour hike along these magnificent cliffs. Go ahead, expend your energy! The afternoon and evening will be saved for meandering around the town of Doolin, expanding your Irish palate, and relishing the traditional Irish music once again. Meals: B

Day Five, Wednesday, Sept 4th:

We leave Doolin behind and point our van in the direction of Dingle. Why Dingle? Our kayaks await our arrival for an afternoon of play in Dingle Bay! Hopefully the weather will cooperate to explore the sea caves and kayak with a dolphin or two. Once again we'll traverse a portion of our travels by ferry to reach our destination. The evening festivities abound with numerous restaurants and pubs for entertainment. Meals: B,L

Day Six, Thursday, Sept 5th:

Ah!...We're off to the Ring of Kerry and beautiful Killarney National Park. The bicycles will be waiting for us to take a sensory overloading pedal tour of Torc Waterfall, Muckross House, and the gardens of Ireland. For those who are dragging a bit, you can choose to stay in the van and hit the hot spots via motor. We'll also visit the cute little town of Kenmare and pass through Moll's Gap for added pleasure. Tonight's stay near Sneem will certainly delight the coastal lover. We hope it will be one of your favorite memories. Shh! It's a secret! Meals: B,L

Day Seven, Friday, Sept 6th:

After a refreshing night of sleep it's back to the Ring of Kerry for pure driving, hiking, and sightseeing pleasure. The day will be all about choosing which turn off to take for pictures, walks, hikes, and stops along the route. Get your cameras ready! We head back to our secret accommodations tonight for an evening of sea salt aroma and star gazing wonder. Meals: B,L

Day Eight, Saturday, Sept 7th

Today we have a long drive back to the Dublin region but not before we discover the magical buildings of the Rock of Cashel, round towers, castles, abbeys, you name it. Meals: B,L

Day Nine, Sunday, Sept 8th:

Melancholy hits as we part ways for our flights out of Dublin. Pull out your phones, type in new contacts, wipe away tears, and plan to communicate until you meet up again on the next trip. Make sure your flights don't depart before 12 noon to ensure catching your plane. Meals: B

Fitness Level: an hour long bike ride or 3 hours of hiking should feel great!
