Take a drive on the wild side

Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.

Day One, Wed. Sept 22nd:

Flights into Las Vegas. Plan to arrive no later than 4p.m. Free airport shuttle to our Vegas hotel with outdoor pool and close proximity to the strip. We'll have a meet and greet around the pool and then head to a nearby restaurant for our first evening dinner together. For those who have the energy, the strip awaits an evening stroll.

Day Two, Thurs. Sept 23rd:

We'll grab breakfast at the hotel before hitting the road for our first outstanding stop: Zion National Park. It's about a 3 hour drive before we stop to munch on our picnic lunches with the gorgeous backdrop of Zion Canyon. The rest of the afternoon will be spent hiking one of the chosen jaw dropping trails within the park. Have your cameras ready! Our evening in Springdale will be free to spend as you wish: shopping, going to eat, or crashing in your comfy room before turning out the lights.

Meals: B, L

Day Three, Fri. Sept 24th:

Time for a hearty breakfast with a steaming cuppa joe at a local restaurant. We'll want to have a good meal in our bellies before enjoying another day of hiking. The hiking options are endless in the area but we'll have a few favorite handpicked options to choose from. Of course, our picnic lunch will be taken at some amazingly scenic spot. After we've conquered a trail or two, it's time to hop into our van and drive to the small town of Tropic (not before we pay a visit to Bryce Canyon National Park). We'll kick back, catch the stars, a campfire, and maybe even music by some local country musicians! Meals: B, L

Day Four, Sat. Sept 25th:

The day will start with breakfast at our comfy village along with the beauty of a wild west sunrise. Today we'll take a short drive to Kanab where we'll experience hiking in a slot canyon. One of the things Utah is famous for! The evening will be spent in the sleepy town of Escalante for dinner, relaxation, and maybe even another campfire. Meals: B, L

Day Five, Sun. Sept 26th:

Our B&B will provide us with a scrumptious home cooked breakfast to fuel our hike just outside of town today.  This 3.5 mile hike promises to make us feel like we're one with the wild west as we have a few river fords to cross in the shin deep water. It will truly be a day of adventure for us wild west women! The destination? A skyline arch along the upper Escalante river canyon. Hoodoos and slots and arches...oh my! (Y'all know the Wizard of Oz tune, right?!) Lunch will be on our own to tickle our Utah taste buds in town today. Maybe it's time to try a Navajo taco or some deep fried appetizer with fry sauce? Our day ends in Torrey, Utah with an overnight outside the rocky ridges of Capitol Reef National Park. Meals: B

Day Six, Mon. Sept 27th:

Good morning Capitol Reef! Breakfast and coffee is served alongside the reds and browns of the statuesque monoliths surrounding us. Today we have the opportunity to explore this national park that is often overlooked by many who are traveling through Utah on the "All American Road" of scenic highway 12. (Yes! We'll have driven it too!) It's our last day of hiking so let's make it count! Of course, we'll need to have one last picnic lunch within eyesight of a jaw dropping view. Our evening will be spent in the remote town of Mount Carmel to truly experience the beauty and solitude that makes this state so appealing. Meals: B, L

Day Seven, Tues. Sept 28th:

It's up and at 'em by 8 a.m. today! Sadly, our drive will take us to Las Vegas for our return flights home. We'll stop for one last breakfast together en route. Of course, talk of our next venture will be a must! Meals: B (Please make sure your flight out is no earlier than 2:30 p.m.)

Maximum group size: 10
