Kimberly and Tracy in Utah
After a couple of decades of leading group trips all over the U.S. and Mexico with previous jobs and also doing all of the itineraries and planning for our camping trips into Canada with friends, it took three friends to convince me it was time to start my own women’s travel business.
It was an “a-ha!” moment. My passions and strengths along with years of experience organizing trips just screamed that they were right!
At almost the same time a conversation came up that brought up the cool track coach I had in high school. (Don’t get a big head Kim!) I decided to look her up to see if she was still out there somewhere.
She was not only out there but had the same passion in life and the same idea…to start a travel biz! My love of life, adventure, nature, getting off the beaten path, and making a difference were all shared! This time though, we decided since I’m officially the one running the biz, I get to tell her to “go run laps!”
And run the laps I will, off the beaten track this time. Tracy is still the outstanding woman that I coached in track back yonder and working with her has been fabulous. Funny how life goes full circle.
The decades between coaching track and present day have been filled as an RN in the Neonatal ICU working across the USA and in the Middle East, with several backpacking travel ‘sabbaticals’ in between.
I have met so many women wanting to travel, but not knowing how to take that first step. With nearly 50 stamps in my passport and involvement with a Nepali focused non-profit, my experience abroad is vast. I wish to share my gypsy ways with other like minded nomads.
